Lyndal Tacon is a Senior Staff Specialist in the Department of Endocrinology at Royal North Shore Hospital, Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Northern Clinical School, University of Sydney. She completed her PhD in 2011, studying the glucocorticoid receptor in adrenocortical tumours, and maintains a clinical and research interest in endocrine neoplasia. Her clinical practice encompasses general endocrinology, pituitary, adrenal, menopause and she is involved in the supervision of research students. Lyndal also holds an NSLHD Net Zero Clinical Lead position, under the NSLHD Planetary Health Framework 2021-2023. This Australian-first sustainability program is funded by the NSLHD’s charity partner, the NORTH Foundation, permitting clinicians to focus on sustainability alongside their clinical roles, with the goal of embedding environmentally sustainable practices in healthcare.
